Wendy Jones has had a passion for serving children for decades. Her energy is a powerful force for good, inspiring those around her to take action in the community.
She served as a Children’s Coordinator and Director in two different churches for a total of 17 years. She continues to serve on the board of Kettle Moraine Young Life, an organization providing positive programs for local teens, where she previously served as chair for numerous years. At her church, she is an Elder and a dedicated leader on the Community Outreach Team. For many years, she has contributed her leadership and administrative skills to Life Groups and Women’s Groups at Elmbrook Church Lake Country. In addition, she volunteers with Hope Street Ministries and Safe Families for Children, where she serves as a Family Coach.
Wendy retired in 2018, but her dedication to children remained strong. In 2019, after successfully organizing the first of many backpack and school supply drives to benefit The Oasis Project participants, she joined our Board of Directors.
A mother of four and grandmother of five, Wendy, with her husband Mike, demonstrate the kind of caring and stability that Oasis values for those we serve. During baseball season you will find Wendy and Mike cheering on the Lake Country DockHounds, where they also serve as a host family for players.
Wendy is always eager to connect and share more about the work of The Oasis Project. You can reach her at wjones@oasisprojectwi.org.
