Deb Jacot brings her experience in business management and her eye for quality control to The Oasis Project. Her expertise in leading teams, coordinating operations, and fostering collaboration translates seamlessly into her leadership on the Oasis Board.

With a degree in business administration, she has managed three different bookstores for a total of 30 years and is known for her very personable customer service. Deb’s outreach has helped connect Oasis to a vast network of leaders and resources in the Greater Milwaukee Area. Her expertise in managing businesses and bottom lines, training workers, and treating people like they matter enriches our program and elevates its quality. With these skill sets and attention to detail, Deb serves to advance our work for the children who need this tutoring support.

Deb has been involved with Oasis from the very beginning, spending a year alongside founder Jan Frans visiting nonprofit organizations across the Greater Milwaukee Area. While Jan worked with our first school partners to establish the proven model we use today, Deb played a key role with Jan in shaping the organization’s foundation. Deb was instrumental in securing our 501(c)(3) status, drafting bylaws, and laying the groundwork for a sustainable organization—one designed to empower children for years to come in achieving their brightest futures.

When she is not busy working or being a team player par excellence for Oasis, Deb loves going to concerts and enjoys Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Price is Right, or Words with Friends. Of course, she’s a Bucks and Packers fan too. She shares that, “I also love to serve, as it brings me great joy!”

Deb is always excited to connect with others who share a passion for supporting children through education. Reach out to her about Oasis at djacot@oasisprojectwi.org to start the conversation.
